Cooking Class with Peta Madry - Vegetarian Coconut Curry

at 19 Jay St in New London (All Souls)

Registration is required for this event: please email membership@drgwennrosenberg.com

Peta Madry's background:

“Cooking was one of my passions since I was a little girl. I learned Italian cooking from my grandmother and Southern cuisine from my mother. Over the years I worked in many different types of places. My first job at sixteen was at Ocean Beach New London CT at Stand on the Sand. My first job as a chef was in Glastonbury CT at the Garden of Light. I took this job because I wanted to learn how to cook vegetarian food. From there I taught the youth from FRESH to cook. I’ve taught the Seniors at the Groton Senior Center cooking classes. My interest now is to teach the guests who eat at the New London Community Meal Center to cook. I’m planning on teaching healthy cooking.”

Self-Acupressure for Gut Healing

with Special Guest: Leilani Navar, MSOM

Thursday, September 15th 12:00

Acupressure self-massage (just like acupuncture) works directly with your body's ability to regulate and repair. It can be used alone, or as a complement to diet changes, nutritional supplements, herbal medicines, and other approaches.

In this workshop, you'll learn:

  • my top 5 self-massage acupressure points to support your gut healing process

  • exactly how to find and treat those points on yourself

  • and the mental and emotional aspects of gut healing - according to Chinese Medicine wisdom in the spirit of loving kindness toward ourselves and our healing.

The self-acupressure routine you learn is a tool to support you if you're dealing with

  • digestive problems

  • issues with bowel function

  • other health concerns that could be gut-related (like asthma, eczema, or autoimmune disease)

  • or you're on a gut healing journey for any reason.
