“Cooking was one of my passions since I was a little girl. I learned Italian cooking from my grandmother and Southern cuisine from my mother. Over the years I worked in many different types of places. My first job at sixteen was at Ocean Beach New London CT at Stand on the Sand. My first job as a chef was in Glastonbury CT at the Garden of Light. I took this job because I wanted to learn how to cook vegetarian food. From there I taught the youth from FRESH to cook. I’ve taught the Seniors at the Groton Senior Center cooking classes. My interest now is to teach the guests who eat at the New London Community Meal Center to cook. I’m planning on teaching healthy cooking.”
